GENERAL INFORMATION

COVINGTON PARK HOA

Covington Park of Hillsborough Homeowners Association, Inc (HOA) is to represent the best interests of the community in protecting home values. This is accomplished through the enforcement of rules known as Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions or CCR’s. Anyone who purchases a home in Covington Park automatically becomes a member of the Association. In order to cover the costs for the operation and maintenance costs of the Association, the HOA has the authority to impose and collect assessment fees from its members.

The HOA also puts on various neighborhood events every year. We have an annual Easter Egg hunt, a Back to School Splash at the beginning of the school year, Halloween Door Decorating contest and Christmas at the Clocktower in December. These events will be announced on the website, Official Facebook account, and via the Front Steps homeowner portal. 

The HOA's annual assessment varies depending upon budget and needs. In 2025, the assessment is $110. Coupons are sent out November of the previous year and are due on January 1st. Any assessment not paid by January 31st is considered late and late interest will begin accruing per the governing documents. The payment may be made on Front Steps (there are processing/convenience fees) or mailed in the provided envelope. Always include your coupon if mailing and also put your account number on your check. Payments are not accepted at the clubhouse.

If you live in Surrey Park, there is also a monthly fee payable to Cardel Villas At Covington Association, Inc. to pay for landscaping and use of the Surrey pool. If you own your home in Covington Park, you may access FrontSteps. FrontSteps contains your current balance, HOA budget and financials, violations and bulletins from the board and managment company.

The HOA holds an at large election annually in December. All 5 board positions are elected at the same time, and the incoming board decides who the officers will be. There are 3 positions on the board, president, vice-president and secretary/treasurer. The remaining positions are directors-at-large.

COVINGTON PARK CDD

Covington Park has plenty of greenspace, ponds and pools. Covington Park CDD is responsible for the all property that is not a private home. There are 3 pools, two at the Irwin Park Clubhouse, and a smaller pool on Monarch Park Drive. There are 2 playgrounds, one at Oak Park and one in the Guilford subdivision. Covington Park CDD is a special taxation district and their assessments are paid with your property taxes every year. The CDD board consists of 5 members. Board members are elected to a 4 year term, and elections are held every 2 years during county elections. GARBAGE PICKUP

Garbage pickup is Wednesday and Saturday. Recycling is picked up on Wednesday. Yard waste is picked up on Wednesday and can be bagged, bundled or in its own container. The closest county dump site is on US 41 less than a mile north of Big Bend Road. You need an ID and a tax bill which you can get from the county tax assessor. Hillsborough County is responsible for garbage. WATERING RESTRICTIONS

Watering restrictions are put in place by the county to conserve water. When we are in drought conditions, watering is limited. Restrictions can be found on Hillsborough County's website.
